Everyone deserves a shot at a great education. It shouldn’t matter where you’re born or who your parents are. When it comes to talented, young jazz musicians, we give their dreams a boost by funding scholarships to attend The Eastman School of Music.

As Douglas Lowry, Dean of Eastman, emphasizes: “Over 95% of our students receive scholarships or financial aid. To recruit the best musicians and keep Eastman at the forefront of music education, scholarships are absolutely vital.” The approach is working: Newsweek magazine named Eastman as The Hottest Music School in America.

Foundation + Impact

Jazz on the Pond is produced by the Belasco Family Foundation (or “BFF”), a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity dedicated to educational, humanitarian, and social causes. Last year, Eastman awarded Jazz on the Pond Scholarships to 25 students, several of whom will be performing at this year’s concert. Come witness the talent your donation empowers.
